hello

Billie is an educator, artist, and facilitator living in Southern Tasmania. They work across various roles, mediums, and practices, with an interest in relationships, place, and socio-natural ecologies.

Currently Billie works as a high-school teacher within alternative education, using social practice alongside critical and place-based pedagogies to empower the voices of young people.

They have facilitated youth programs in the arts, community gardens, and queer youth spaces, fostering critical and creative engagement to encourage many ways of knowing, teaching, learning, seeing, and feeling.

Billie's practice centres the politics of listening, attempting to facilitate novel, caring, sustainable, and equitable relationships that challenge normative assumptions and expand the imaginative potential of what could be.

Billie takes play seriously.
