what is the space between?

 

i guess the reflex I have to this question is another question. 

 

between what? 

 

between, in its most literal sense, means “by two”. to be between is to experience what is made by two things. suggesting that the in between is not something of itself, but something made through a relationship. 

 

It’s not that space is merely the medium for connection, but space is made by connections. 

the space between things is produced through the types of connections made, and as we navigate touch we feel the tension of space.

like the air we breathe, we often consider space between (or among), to be empty. 

But it’s not. 

It is full, and alive, and wild. 

It holds us in suspense.
